Zoe Dawson has been at the Cooma Universities Centre since its opening in March 2013. Zoe was born and raised in regional NSW, and has lived and worked in a range of places from New Zealand to Bellingen, London to Portugal and most recently Sydney. Zoe has a Bachelor of Education and Honours from the University of Wollongong and is currently completing a Master of Arts at Macquarie University. Zoe has worked in the Educational field for thirteen years, in both public and private sector roles, as a teacher, adult educator, program developer and educational consultant. Zoe has a passion for education, the rural lifestyle and ongoing learning, making the role at the CUC a perfect fit.
Jayde Myers - Coordinator
Jayde commenced at the Cooma Universities Centre in October 2015. Jayde grew up in Port Macquarie, on the Mid North Coast of NSW, and finished her HSC at Mackillop Senior College. Since leaving school she has lived in Sydney, Brisbane and now Cooma. Jayde is currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing at The University of Canberra with a desire to go into the Education/Teaching background of health after graduating. Jayde enjoys sport and participates in numerous local competitions including netball, soccer and touch football, as well as enjoying a local game of rugby on a Saturday afternoon. Jayde enjoys living rurally and has a passion for progressive learning and hopes to be a helping hand at the CUC.
Shannon Payten-McDonald - Coordinator
Shannon commenced at the Cooma Universities Centre in October 2015. Shannon completed her HSC at Monaro High School. She then moved to Newcastle and studied a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the University of Newcastle, and is now furthering her studies through distance education at Charles Sturt University with a Masters of Information Studies in Librarianship. Shannon has recently moved back to her home town, Nimmitabel, where she continues to discover a renewed passion for the rural life style. Shannon is a self-confessed book worm, with the intentions of becoming an author.
