Mick has had a varied career path including roles as a Soil Conservationist, jackaroo, agronomist, rural accountant, director and business owner. His career highlight was being the founding partner of the successful country accounting firm of Boyce Chartered Accountants in 1973. Mick is a director of Monbeef Pty Ltd, Hazeldean Pty Ltd and Namoi Cotton Cooperative Ltd. He is also Chairman of Fugen Hardware Group and Past Chair of Winifred West Schools. Adrian holds degrees in Arts, Education and Leadership. His initial training was in English and History, with postgraduate studies in special education, drama and educational management. Carolyn is currently on the management committee of MCCR (Monaro Committee for Cancer Research), raising money for cancer patients and research in the local area. Carolyn also works with some of the smaller local schools to teach drama and movement. Carolyn is married to Peter Ewart of Peak View andhas lived on the family farm in the Monaro for 32 years. He combines his agricultural and legal backgrounds to focus on the governance and structural aspects of that business that has developed alternative models to the traditional owner/operator farmer. Duncan is passionate about educational opportunity for rural and remote students and believes that through educational opportunities, youth can achieve geographic, economic and social mobility. Duncan is President of the Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association of New South Wales that seeks equity of educational opportunity for rural and remote families, and has led several government submissions on Youth Allowance criteria, vocational training in rural areas, tertiary and secondary agricultural education and training, as well as other aspects of rural schooling and early childhood education and care. Dean is a fifth generation grazier on theMonaro, manager of the family’s Kunuma Angus Stud near Adaminaby and is also involved in a retail business in Cooma. Dean is also the President of Group 16 Rugby League, Vice President of Monaro Angus Breeders Association and Chairperson of numerous Council and Community committees. Jayde Myers - Coordinator Jayde commenced at the Cooma Universities Centre in October 2015. Jayde grew up in Port Macquarie, on the Mid North Coast of NSW, and finished her HSC at Mackillop Senior College. Since leaving school she has lived in Sydney, Brisbane and now Cooma. Jayde is currently studying a Bachelor of Nursing at The University of Canberra with a desire to go into the Education/Teaching background of health after graduating. Jayde enjoys sport and participates in numerous local competitions including netball, soccer and touch football, as well as enjoying a local game of rugby on a Saturday afternoon. Zoe has worked in the Educational field for thirteen years, in both public and private sector roles, as a teacher, adult educator, program developer and educational consultant. Shannon has recently moved back to her home town, Nimmitabel, where she continues to discover a renewed passion for the rural life style.
