With the HSC results out this week many local students will be contemplating the next step for their education and future.
Study costs are high and university accommodation is also very expensive making the option of university study for many people prohibitive, particularly for regional students.
Fortunately students in this area have an alternative through the Cooma Universities Centre (CUC). The Centre, which opened last year, offers two options for local students – a study centre for any distance education degree and now two full university degrees.
The Cooma Universities Centre offers local students full study access to computers, fast internet and Wi-Fi and printing resources as well as a dedicated study area for any external university degree Australia-wide. Anyone can join and the cost is $90 a semester to access the full suite of CUC resources.
Two full university degrees will now be available in 2015 through the CUC.
-Bachelor of Education – Early Childhood or Primary
-Degree in Business with options for majors in Events and Tourism
‘The Bachelor of Education will be facilitated through CQUniversity Australia’, explains Zoe Dawson, CUC Manager. ‘This degree qualifies students to become fully accredited Early Childhood or Primary teachers across Australia.’ Enrolments are now open with the degree to commence in March 2015.
‘We are delighted to confirm that a Degree in Business through the University of Canberra has now been confirmed and will commence in 2015’, says Zoe. ‘Students complete core business units and have options for a range of electives including tourism and events.’ Enrolments are now open with the degree to commence in mid February 2015.
If you are interested in either of the degree options now on offer or would like to explore your other study options through the CUC then please drop in at 38 Bombala Street, Cooma or make an appointment to see Zoe by calling 6452 3368 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
