24/10/14 - First Application for Education Degree in 2015 at Cooma Universities Centre

24 October 2014

The Cooma Universities Centre has just received its first enrolment for the Bachelor of Education degree that will be commencing in 2015.
Lachlan Schofield finished high school at Monaro High School in 2008. Since then Lachlan has worked locally for Snowy Hydro, worked overseas in the UK as a teacher’s assistant, and has just returned from travelling around Europe.

Lachlan, who has been thinking about studying education for some time, can now complete his studies right here in Cooma, as part of an innovative regional first, bringing tertiary level education to the Snowy Mountains.

Lachlan will be one of a cohort of students studying the Bachelor of Education in Cooma in 2015 (specialising in either Early Childhood or Primary Teaching). Students will study course content online and meet once a week (per subject) at the Cooma Universities Centre with a locally employed tutor and fellow students for additional support and guidance. This method and delivery technique allows students to stay locally, retaining their jobs and accommodation, whilst still receiving a nationally recognised university qualification.
Applications are currently open and can be completed at the Cooma Universities Centre with Zoe (saving you an online application fee of $149).
If you would like any further information, or to apply, contact Zoe at the CUC: 38 Bombala St Cooma, email zoe.dawson@coomauc.com.au, call 6452 3368 or SMS 0437 344 620.
