Here are some fast facts about the CUC and its progress throughout our first year of operation. There will be many new and exciting things happening in our second year of operation, so stay tuned!

Throughout the year the CUC has had a total of 85 students register to use the centre
17 different Australian Universities are represented by the student population at the CUC
Our students are studying 28 different undergraduate degrees (bachelor, associate degree, university bridging course)
Our students are studying 15 different postgraduate degrees (graduate certificate, graduate diploma, masters, PhD)
There have been over 1300 visits from students throughout the year – averaging over 100 students per month using the Cooma Universities Centre
There have been 93 University examinations held at the CUC from 13 different universities
The University of Canberra is currently operating its third UCanReach Program (14 week face to face pathways to university course) at the CUC
AARNet was connected to the CUC in April allowing access to Australia’s high speed, high performance, dedicated education and research network
A swipecard system was activated in July 2013 to allow CUC students access from 8.30am to 10pm seven days a week
There have been 12 students start and complete University Pathways courses at the centre since it opened – 10 through the University of Canberra UCanReach program, one through the University of South Australia and one through the University of Central Queensland
There have been 12 students commence a new university degree since the CUC opened – 5 as a direct result of the CUC being operational
